OUR STORY
High-risk merchant acquiring has always been challenging, but the rollout of Visa’s Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP) and Mastercard’s updated SMMP and the Global Merchant Audit Program (GMAP) standards has made it even tougher. They’ve raised expectations for merchant compliance, and toward greater accountability for portfolio quality for acquirers, ISOs and their sponsor banks.
The old model – a one-time underwriting effort followed by periodic reviews and after-the-fact enforcement – isn’t up to these new challenges. By the time a problem merchant shows up on a month-end acquirer report or a card brand monitoring notice, the damage, and often the fine, is already done. You’ll never be able to hire enough compliance personnel to watch every MID in real time. And turning away or terminating high-risk merchants to reduce “high risk” exposure misses the point – and the profit.
That’s why we developed SLYCE360, leveraging our sister company’s 30+ years’ experience managing compliance for high-risk MCCs.
SLYCE360 isn’t a chargeback mitigation reseller or representment service. Those providers work to deflect or re-collect one dispute at a time. SLYCE360 is a payments analytics and compliance platform built for acquirers, ISOs and the medium- and high-risk merchants they support. It monitors your entire portfolio for emerging compliance and fine risk, and acts as a force multiplier for your compliance team by re-evaluating each merchant’s risk profile on a transaction by transaction basis, long after the merchant has cleared underwriting and started processing. We coined a term for this new approach: Continuous Underwriting.
Acquirer and gateway reports each show part of the picture, in their own formats and on their own schedules. SLYCE360 brings together authorization, refund, chargeback, fraud alert and dispute data from those sources and matches it with the merchant’s CRM data at the transaction level – a view no single acquirer or gateway report can provide. Automated notifications flag developing issues, such as a merchant trending toward a card brand monitoring threshold, before they become a threat. SLYCE360 then delivers recommended action plans, each with a predicted likelihood of success, to both the acquirer and the merchant.
By design, SLYCE360 resets the acquirer-merchant relationship. Instead of arguing from competing, and often incomplete, data, both sides see the same payments data through a common lens, developing a shared perspective of medium- and high-risk payments problems and opportunities.
Perhaps SLYCE360’s biggest advantage? Two ways to earn. Mark up our PSP buy rate and make our service a requirement for new or continued processing for high-risk merchants or let us sell it to your merchant base and collect a commission. Sounds too good to be true? It isn’t. Just ask our clients.

OUR TEAM
SLYCE360’s leadership team built its expertise as operators and marketers before it became a provider of payments fintech. The team has decades of experience marketing and processing card-not-present (CNP) subscription transactions as a high-risk merchant through multiple gateways and acquiring venues. The payments expertise they developed became the core of SLYCE360.
Today the team combines marketing leadership, card-brand compliance knowledge, fraud and dispute analytics, and SaaS product development into a risk and compliance platform like nothing else in the marketplace, allowing our clients to move seamlessly from one-time to Continuous Underwriting.
